Random ideas that arose as I read your offering (Thanks, seriously)
In 2019 I had a hysterectomy. It was the solution that the doctor recommended for prolonged and heavy menstrual cycles.
But when I chatted with women around me, I was shocked at how many of us had our reproductive organs.
Although I had no intention of having another biological child, I went back to the doctor and questioned him: Is this was the right thing to do, or is this the popular thing to do, and in my mind, I thought ‘are they trying to take away the ability of women to have children.’
But that was 2019.
I know you’re discussing the opposite. But in general, I feel like women’s bodies are always being subjected to or denied of procedures.
Why?
