in self-hatred,
but then I fou… stormy clouds,
shimmered on my oceanic waves,
sipped watermelon juice with me
on the upper deck — 
I hit rough water, contemplating
disembarking without a word,
hurting from your betrayal,
drowning in self-hatred,
but then I found my anchor
in the most unlikely twist of the story.
