May Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “This is Me”
Since I was one, I traveled.
I have been flying on airplanes almost every year since I was just a year old, and it’s something I take great pride in.
When I was younger, adults used to ask me, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Without hesitation, I would reply, “A flight attendant.”
When the judges inquired about my occupation in a high school pageant competition, I proudly answered, “I aspire to be a flight attendant and work part-time as an accountant.”
I was thrilled when that response helped me win the contest.
After losing my first job as a bank teller, I applied for a flight attendant position. Unfortunately, my acne-prone face in my early twenties prevented me from securing that opportunity.
My feelings towards flying have evolved over the years.
One thing I’m sure of is my love for flying remains steadfast. Not being able to travel for a while makes me feel down. I enjoy flying for work and cherish it even more when traveling for pleasure. I am happiest when I secure seats that fit my long legs and ample backside. If I could fly first class every time, that would be a…
