Interesting. Do you know where this connection originated? Feathers that fell off naturally or feathers that are plucked. Do feathers from chickens or turkeys we eat count? I recall growing up and having to pluck the feathers to prep the birds for stew. I can't help but think that these days the closest I get to feathers are the ones which survive on the wings in the frozen section of my grocery.
