I appreciate reading your essay, Deb. Everything around them, from the time they were born, taught them the #truth of their beliefs; reinforced those ideas. It is likely they never had someone, much less several someones of color around them to speak to their hearts and change their minds.

Inclusivity - I think that one way to change hearts and minds is with meaningful and long-lasting relationship-building with people different from you, on the same level as you. Think Brown versus Board of Ed. One way of many.
