Hi, Tree ✅ my observation is related to the order of life events. The joy of offspring, for example, requires the pain of labor. Or, spectacular talent released came after a significantly traumatizing childhood (see biopics Pursuit of Happyness or Maxine’s Baby: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjXlidHoPyU).

Life, in general, rewards endurance of pain.

Whereas we always seem to ask for pain elimination, but IMHO, the ‘darkest hour is just before the dawn.’
