And Just Like That, Spring Sprung
The season turned — and I’m thankful.
The random word of the day is TABLE.
“Morningside magic,” Ibis thought, squinting at the sun filtering through the newly leafed branches of an oak tree in Morningside Park.
Ibis reached into her tote bag, pulling out a worn red gingham tablecloth. She spread it on the grass beneath the oak, its gnarled branches forming a natural canopy overhead.
“Nature’s table,” she mused as she laid colorful Tupperware containers filled with her signature vegan potato salad and barbecued tofu.
Ibis felt joy as she took a bite of her lunch. It tasted even better here, in the heart of the park, surrounded by the vibrant energy of spring.
